Ahhh... I'm having this quite weird problem when trying to burn DVD's. I'm new to burning DVD's, so I might miss out on some pretty common stuff that I haven't heard of yet. :)

I'm using the Pinnacle Studio v.9 (http://slettes.dk/redirect_to/?url_name=http://www.pinnaclesys.com/ProductPage_n.asp?Product_ID=1501&Langue_ID=7) on a Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo 600 (http://slettes.dk/redirect_to/?url_name=http://www.fujitsu-siemens.com/products/deskbound/personal_computers/scaleo_600.html) machine.

Well, my problem is when I burn a DVD+RW disc, the program processes normally until the DVD is ejected from the rack. Problem arises when I want to play the new DVD, absolutely nothing happens. I've tried to play it on the same DVD player/writer used for burning the disc, I've tried to play the DVD on a Funai DVD player - in both cases to no avail.

I've even tried to place the DVD in the PC DVD player and search for content via the PC - also no result!

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or perhaps guide me to a good tuturial.

First of all I'll just state that I have not done any DVD burning either.

First question: when you first buy a DVD drive it would have the region already set by the factory. some are changeable (for about four times which varies). Is the region set right on your burner for the area you are in?

Second Question: How are you burning the DVD? are you doing it from one DVD Drive to another? or are you doing it straght from the hard drive?

Third Question: there is a setting in the control panel (if you are using windows) that allows the hard drive to read ahead, which you do not want because the hard drive will race ahead of the DVD burner and will be stoping and starting and you would have errors that you wont know about until you attempt to use it. for windows 98 just go start-->Control Panel-->System-->(I have not used Windows 98 now for so long I cant remember the buttons you need to press) what operating system are you using?

Fourth Question: Have you tried different DVD writing programs? what about different systems? What about different DVD Media (first of all what are you using)?
