I copied and pasted some code into dront page, then clicked preview, and it came up with an error:
Error: 'null' is null or not an object
so esentialy frontpage throws out an error because null is null? very smart...

Ahh. Does it feel better getting that off your chest? :) I'd recommend you switch from Frontpage to (well ANYTHING) HTML-kit.

I couldn't have said it better myself!!
I personally prefer to save the file and preview it in my browser, but that's just me.

Next you are going to say that the Bush supporter uses asp.net and asp, that must mean that he is down with big business because they use asp and asp.net! For the record I am very libertarian in my economic views. I am almost militant about kinseanism / supply side economics. This is one of the reasons I like bush. But back to topic I guess... or split the thread.

The thing is when using the newest version of a product you expect it to have the minimal erros, but when using SP2 it should be deevoid of silly errors like null being null (or rather a default value being undefined)...
I never had this problem when using '98.

You had other, more important errors that you just didn't notice.

I didn't actualy, I used to use front page to produce a basic file then test it, once that was more or less done I'd finish it up in notepad or if the file was too large(and I've only ever had 2 files that large) wordpad. Testing in IE and Netscape.

How about Lynx or some Braille or audio browser?
The problem is that neither Frontpage, Dreamweaver nor any other WYSIWYG can produce HTML. It has to be done by a human being.

I agree, it must be done by a human being in the end, although it can be usefull geting a rough layout(despite all the useless stuff frontpage will ofload onto you). after that you'll have to use a text editor to clean it up and make it better.

i suppose you may be able to do it like that but you could go ever so much quicker if you did it all yourself right from the beginning. Plus it would still be a lot better.
