Resizing a window within a frame?

Hello, I work for Toyota, and manage a local part of their website. For those of you who don't know, almost all car dealerships require you to buy a template from the parent company (in my case toyota). We are not allowed to edit the main pages of the website, but we are allowed to hard code the content pages (which are contained within frames). One of the biggest issues I have with the templates is that they do not support resolutions above 1024X768, and if you have larger, you see the background twice. Is there a way to resize the main window from within a frame, or anything else that might solve this problem?

ahhh I have an idea that would involve a css file. How is this from working, is this an iframe, do you have a frameset running around what. If there any place where you can drop in some code to import some css and apply the page background from that? As for the window resize, it might be possible, but it is going to need some java script and users might find it to be annoying. If it were me I would just let the background tile.
