My Dear,

Just save each layer as a JPG image and Import them in Flash.

I mean, just suppose u wanted to use First Layer of photoshop, so hide other layers by unselecting the EYE icon infront of tht layer and from FILE < save / save as / save for web > tht layer as a JPG format.

Repeat these steps for other layers to save, by unselecting (hiding) other layers and only viewing that layer which u wanted to use and saving it in a JPG format.

I hope u got my point. And hopefuly this helps you.

chaow.

To avoid loss of quality and maintain transparency properties of layers, it may be preferable to export the Photoshop layers as PNG files instead of JPGs.

Yes I did it and it works.

I actually have never used flash before, I have only played around with it.

I can only make a ball move across the screen right now lol

that was hard enough

Alright I got that all working.

Now heres a question. About Flash

Say I wanted something to fade in is there an effect in Flash to make font fade in. Or do I have to do it all manually in photoshop and keep raising the Opacity lvl higher.

No, use a Motion Tween... you could also do it with AS but this will work for someone who's just starting out.

Sweet, thanks a lot

You know how much that helped me.

Seriously. Thats all I needed.

No I know how to make an animation. After all that time of trying. You give me an example and I know how to work it.

Now I just need to learn all of the tools in Flash.

How do I change the Opacity of the font?

Hello dear Faint.

I think for step by step learning of Flash, you must get tutorial of Mr. Garo Green from www.Lynda.com (plus many many other video tutorials, many r free also).

I also tried some of his video lectures of flash and photoshop, those r marvelous. Visit the site, or Cds are also available on shops.

The thing u asked :

Well, I suggest: Create a Graphic Instance from: Insert > New Symbol.

And put ur text there. save the symbol and in main movie clip, from library panel, put tht graphic symbol on the layer and Use Effect panel to use those useful effects. (In your case it will be Alpha or Opacity).

Anyhow, lynda.com is the best and all the best to u !

There is a way to open a PSD file into flash very easy. Just use the PSD2FLA converter. You can download it here: http://www.medialab.com/psd2fla/
