Following a reorganisation and addition of features, any comments on our personal backpacking site would be welcome.

http://v-g.me.uk

In particular, I have implemented an interactive moving panorama player for full and partial pans, which should be cross-platform compatible, but I can't test it on Linux or Apple Mac at the moment. A direct link to an internal page showing examples of both is:-

I'm reluctant to scrap the coloured scrollbars!.

Best regards

When I go into a restricted section I don't like that I get this:

Authorization Required
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Could you use a duller red color for some of the links?
For example under Gear and Tech, the clothing link isn't too bad. But the map scanning link hurts my eyes.
Also, if you used a yellow instead of green for the mouseover it be easier on the eyes.

Under contacts, you might want to make the textbox and textarea look similiar to the search textbox at the top.

I don't really like the red/green hover effect.

The two people in the menu look like they're going to Mars, not for a walk in the woods.

I like the fact that you have pictures to go with the links (ex The Mindset [small picture]), but make the text clickable as well as the picture. also the subsection links are sometimes at the bottom and sometimes at the top. choose one and stick to it.

The panorama stuff is wonderful.

Don't use "click here" as link text (http://www.w3.org/QA/Tips/noClickHere)

Thank you for the input.

I've created custom error pages for the 401 on the private section, and also for 403/404.

The two people in the menu look like they're going to Mars, not for a walk in the woods.

Hmmm, perhaps there is a culture difference here!. The target audience will recognise us as mountain backpackers immediately, but I know what you mean, it's probably the solarised image that makes it look a bit space-age.

I'll consider the other points too.
