Width of table columns

Is there any way to get the width of table columns if I don't specify a specific width for them when they're created? I've tried the '.width', 'style.posWidth' and 'style.pixelWidth' and none of these have the width of the columns.

Thanks a lot! Forgot all about these. Is there a way to tell if a specific object is visible on the screen?
