well, you #1 problem is the fact that you put a msg at the top of the page saying that i aint running ie so it aint gonna work for me. so im not gonna bother. second, maybe try some new colors, adda little design. i know thats not what were basing this on, but i hate pure black and red.

1.
Make it work in real browsers.

2.
Put a doctype in the template, as well as your own site.

3.
You can't have scripts above the html declaration!! What were you thinking?

might be good if a html helper was valid (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.geocities.com%2Ftravis_man120%2Fhtml_helper.html).

HTML is a coding used for professionals and novices. if you do not know html i suggest that you learn it. that's help?!?

could have a 'select all' button to enable users to copy what they have done more easily. and a 'save as' button to enable users to save what thye have done.

how about some links to sites about things like 'doc types' and 'html tutorials'.

could do with some identity for the site, a name and logo.

and needs some explanation of what the site is for and how to use it. youd also need to think of a very good reason why anyone would want to use your site rather than notepad, textpad, etc.

reason why i have the "You are not running internet explorer, which is what you need to view this page properly" is because the "[copy]" and "[paste]" buttons wont do you anygood if u dont use IE because those only work for IE. and "the tree" what do you mean by these questions?
