How many people browse with images turned off?
(I myself have disabled images that are hotlinked)

Also, I noticed that if you disable the images, firefox will expand the alt text way beyond the actual width of the image and collapse the height (unlike IE which shows it in a box with the size of the image), thus ruining the layout. Does anyone know what I can do about it?

I bet the number of people browsing without images on a graphical browser is rather small.
