Is there a way to prevent pop-up ads from popping up on my website ( or at least turn the pop-up into a pop-under )? I hope this is not a dumb question ( i'm sort of new to this ).

If your web site has pop-ups added by the ISP, then you obviously have an agreement with that ISP to allow them. If you attempt to defeat these pop-ups, then you are breaking your agreement with them, and they will have the right to delete you site.

Find a reputable ISP that does not use pop-up ads.

My isp does not send pup-ups. I am mainly concerned about companies such as when-u and others that target websites. As far as I know, thier software is on the surfer's computer and will show them a pup-up when they surf to targeted websites.

For instance, if I sell bicycles on my website, my competition could have pop-up ads come up when my site is visited.

How can I prevent this?
