Hello.

I'm new here.
A little about myself...
I work full-time as a programmer, mostly COBOL and RPG, and going to school part time for web development. I'll be done in May.

Here is a site I did for my internship http://www.fdlfest.com.
Fond du Lac Festivals is a non-profit organisation that puts on Walleye Weekend and Taste of Fond du Lac.

I know from reading these board that using tables for laying out the page is a big no no, so I know I'll have a few strikes against me with this site.

I'm going to start work on my portfolio site soon and I'll be using CSS on that site and all other sites from here on out.

Thank you for your time.

See http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A//www.fdlfest.com./ for a list of some of your HTML errors and see http://www.delorie.com/web/lynxview.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fdlfest.com.%2F, if you are sighted, to get an idea of how that site will seem on an audio or Braille browser.

What do you think of the layout?
Do you think it is user friendly?
Any impovments do you think should be made?

The graphics for the site were built around their business card.
After each festival I'll have new pictures that I'll use to create new flash movies with some captions about the event.

I wanted the flash movies to be a little more elaborate but time got the best of me.

Thank you.

There's a lot of fonts being used. See if you can use a few less (such as changing the general text font to a sans serif like Arial or Verdana).

Overall the navigation seemed all little confusing. Top buttons gave different left links. A drop-down menu might solve that - would be nice to access all links from one place.

Seemed to be lots of different "bits" floating around. A background block under the embossed things would help to pull it all together.

Otherwise it seems ok.
