button and img

how want to have a gif button so i have this line...
<a><img .....></a>
but i want that when the custmer click on the button he will see another img...(like he realy click it)

i ment <a href="page.html"><img src="oneimage.jpg"></a>
when i click the img src="twoimage.jpg"
i need the effect like someone clicking on a real button
even in this page see what's happend when you click any button up in this page...

or u have another solution like putting an img on a button tag but as long as i rememeber it is not possible .....
i hope now i am more clear....
