I have an image that is black and white and i want to make it color according to how dark and light it is. It's pretty simple, i just want to replace the color black (000000) with red (ff0000) and dark grey with a lighter red and a couple more is there a way I can do this? perferably with some kind of software online. I also have paint and adobe photodeluxe if it isnt possible online. i tried doing a red layer in photodeluxe then blending them and made the black and white layer brighter. that took forever and i still didnt really get what i wanted. (i have like 15 more images i need to do) anyone have any suggestions??

While it is crude at best, there is something to be said about 'Paint', which comes standard with all versions of Windows. Just open the image, select the bucket, select the color you want, click the color you dont want, and Bob's your uncle. If for some reason your image isn't compatible with Paint, use IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/) to convert it to a gif or bmp.
Hope this solves your problem,
