I like it. Good navigation, easy to read, well done.

I cannot say that I like the choice of color, what with the purplish, salmon, and then the tan in the menus. But that's subjective so it's really of no importance, unless this becomes a common comment then you may want to reconsider the colors.

I did peep the source and realized why I got links at the very top, and then they went away when the page finished loading (odd) then I saw the table in the head and such. I've never seen that before. Not commenting on it at all as I have no idea is it's good, bad, or otherwise.

Could you explain what's going on there to me? I'm realy curious and just want to learn.

actually, the navigation menu is an included file, so i think what you have seen, is how php returned the source code to make the page.

thank you for your suggestions, and as regards the colours, i can say that choosing colours is my weakest point, but what i was most interested in, was that i would have a light background for the content, so that it does not stress the eyes.

Personally I would change the font to verdana or arial.

The page is also a few pixels too wide, as I'm getting a horizontal scroll bar.
