I'm new into web developing and have pretty much taught myself how to do it.
I'm using MFP 2000 and I have a page that has one animated graphic I made myself with PSP 7 which is normal banner size and then some pics that are W=117 and H=134 in pixel size and according to MFP's reports, that page takes 103 seconds to download. The rest of the pages are around 34 sec. each.
How do I cut the length of time to download on the one page?
Does thumbnailing work? (for the pics, there are about 5 of them) How do you compress .jpg's?

Thank you for your help!:)

you said you made an animated graphic, so if its gif then you can compress the animation using http://www.simtel.net/pub/dl/55381.html

[thumbnails will minimize how much is download at a time, but you still want to compress the files as much as is aestheticly possible. i dont use paint shop so i dont know how to compress using it, but photoshop just gives you an option box when you choose to save something as an .jpg]

Thank you for the advice!:) I just needed the word "optimize". PSP 7 has an optimization wizard in it .....actually it's in the Animation Shop 3 by Jasc software. Got the page report down to 34 sec. like the other ones.

Thanks!
