Windows Media Player Help

Hi. I have been having a lot of trouble with Windows Media Player 10 on the computer and videos embeded in sites. just about everything "wmv" or "wma" i try to load it just gives me the Windows Error and wants to send the crap to Microsoft. Also when I go to a webpage where there's an embeded video, it will close all IE windows and if I go back it does the same thing. I was thinking about just uninstalling it and reinstalling it via the webpage but I can't find where to uninstall. Anyone know? Is this the best route?

I would reinstall media player and stop using it (you should use firefox, try it, I bet you will never use ie again except for website testing).
