How can I get the current year and the current year plus one year ahead?

use the DateAdd() function:

nextYear = DateAdd("y", Date(), 1)

or

nextYear = DateAdd("d", Date(), 365) '' wrong if leap year

or

nextYear = DateAdd("m", Date(), 12) '' add 12 months
