Hi,

Please check out the sticky post in this forum for a few comments that I would otherwise post here concerning your HTML code. I won't get technical here, I'll just comment on your design. Please go back and read my sticky post, though, because I think it will do you some good.

Your layout looks pretty decent; what I like the most is that background you have on the header for each column and the navigation menu below the header (Categories, Login here, Shopping Cart, Bestsellers, and so on). You also made a good choice of colors (with the exception of such a bold red; I would tone it down just enough so that it doesn't hurt the eyes on a white background). I would also remove the white from the edges of the icons on your header; the white makes it almost impossible to tell what the icons actually are supposed to mean. I'm not fond of the scrolling text (and Santa Clause), they're distracting and make it difficult to read the rest of the page.

Well I agree that you need to read the sticky regarding your HTML.

I'd advise agaisn't the splash page, it doesn't really add anything and just puts a barier between you and your visitors.

Design-wise, have you had any experience in art or design classes? Everything looks very basic. Like something for a high school student... Maybe you should really work on that.

Wait, so that's what that was. When I got redirected, I had no idea what was going on. I would drop the slash page because it is poorly done, and executed, and the color scheme is totally out of place compared to what you see on the store's page. Oh, as said before, it also just delays the person from getting to what they really want.
