Unwanted search box

I have a search box I don't want to pop up whenever I use my google toolbar. I have been getting this box for about a week or so. Can anyone tell how to get rid of this or contact the people for this site?
This is the name on the box and New Media Properties, LLC
is at the bottom of the box. Please help

Just for the record, I have it too. I don't know what it is... It just showed up on my search one day. :( Actually, it seems to popup ads for me, too. I don't know if it does that for you, too, but it is really annoying. Anyway, if you find out what caused it, let me know. I want to get rid of it, but I don't know how... :mad:

Are you two saying that there is some search box somewhere in your browser every time you open it? If so, try looking in your file system. You've probably somewhere along the line downloaded a program that "came" with it. There's a program called, "$aveNow" and all it does is pop-up a bunch of junk and advertisements. It's really stupid, but it turns out we never figured out how the stupid annoying thing got onto the computer. I hate that. Try looking in your local disk and see if the program is somewhere in there.

Jona - It's not SaveNow... I've had that for years. Actually, I like that, but this is different. I agreed to install SaveNow because it gives me coupons... I like that. :) This is different... Like a search enhancement... I'm not really sure what it is. I'm thinking it was a virus that was going around that I got, but I'm not sure. I also don't know how to get rid of it(since I don't know what "it" is :)). If anyone has any ideas on how to get rid of this "thing", let me know.

This is what happens. I open my browser and say I want to look something up. I go up to the google toolbar and put in a word to search. Another window opens with the search bar I mentioned earlier. If I drop that screen down, google has found the word and the search screen is on the same. "I mean google hasnt put up another screen with the result on it "

I thought at first that I had downloaded something that gave me this extra search screen, but I don't think so.

I don't like the feeling of this on my computer and not being able to get rid of it, but I do like the toolbar for google.

Any help is appreciated..

One more thing too, I have popup stopper and this still shows up. So I'm not sure if it came with a program downloaded.
