to get a CHORME COLOR it's all on different shadings and how you place them. think in art class what colors make silver?
- white
- black
- grey

now, you just need to play with the shadings to make them happen. Hopefully you have a graphics program (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, etc.)... don't use MS Paint.. that doesn't help.. it just sux.. :)

basicly it's just a gradient of the colors listed above... for a "silver" effect.

There are tutorial sites on how to do this type of effect for every graphics program you might have.

If you have photoshop look about the net for free styles you will more than likely find a chrome style that you can just apply to objects on the fly.

http://www.absolutecross.com/tutorials/photoshop/effects/chrome/ is also a really good tutorial as to how to achieve this effect.

As Pete pointed out its just basically layers with gradients on them, overlayed to give the effect, so a package paint wont do it, you will need an image editing application that uses layers.
