I am a newbee in the web creation world and have a general question. What is the best technology to develop a basic shopping site where customers log in and buy products and services in their basket and then check out. I'm reading about Cold Fusion and J2EE and am curious about what the best and easiest software is to use to develop in currently. Thanks

You can use any server side language, but I suggest using paypal or something for the payment gateway because that is very advanced and if you do not know what you are doing and something bad happens you could be taken to court.
