I know you almost NEVER hear this stories, but...

Has anybody ever worked with someone who was a joy to work with?

Mine is with a girl, who shall go unnamed. First time I helped her with HTML, her question was "Why do I get a directory listing instead of my main page?" On the Furnation server, if you don't have an index.html or main.html page, you get a directory listing.

I took a look, and I found one html page, called "stargazing.html" When I checked it out, it was the page she wanted. So I wrote back "rename stargazing.html to index.html" So, she was quite happy.

What happened later, I cannot remember. Either I looked at her code, or she asked me what I thought of it, anyways, I looked at her code.

It was one of those pages that started with <html>, fonts tags everywhere, your usual newbie page.

Me: "Okay... what did you use to code this with?"
Her: "Notepad."
Me: "Okay, we are off to a good start, no sarcasm here."
Me: (thinking) .o0(Thank god!)
Her: "Okay."
Me: "I see you didn't use tables in this."
Her: "Well, they looked too complicated, and I didn't understand them."
Me: "Not using tables is a good think."

So, I told her about doctypes, which eliminated browser guessing, how to make things easier, and I said "Lemme recode your page, so you know what I'm talking about."

After recoding her page, she realized what-all I was talking about. But, yeah, she was easy to work with, and eager to learn.

Anyone else have tales like this?

Well, the place I'm working at now basically gives me full control, my boss doesn't care really what I do, so long as I let her know what I'm up to, so it's cool.
