The possibilities are endless. Feeling excessively generous at the moment (or just bored because I'm ignoring my job completely, but I feel better wording it the other way), so I made a little mock-up idea for you. Nothing much but I'm sure it can be expanded on, and like I said there are absolutely tons of other ideas you can put to a layout as simple as this.

I added a few more things to my idea, to show you what I meant...

Let me know if you want the Photoshop PSD file.

i would love the psd file..but what i would really love to know is how you made those shapes that you did...i really liked what you did to the design
thanks for your help
What's your email address? (PM it to me if you don't want to post your email address publicly.) The shapes were made with some brushes I downloaded.

hmm..maybe the mask layer and gradient go too far down, cuz the logo shouldnt be partially hidden

The foreground of the header would have been separated, but I didn't have the original PSD file to begin with and didn't want to rip them from the purple background; the gradient overlay looks perfectly fine in my opinion. It could look better, but making adjustments to it are unlikely to do that at this point.
GreyDog, I used Photoshop.

well, the problem is that it overlaps the logo, and a logo should be fully visible, other wise i like what u did jona!;)
