java script

bought new puter,week later had hardware crash. traded in for refurbished and when on internet now it tells me i cannot view movies because of missing java script. guy at store tells me java is not part of windows but it worked with new puter. is there anywhere that i can download complete java program?

Sounds like you need to enable JavaScript.here is how you can do that in the IE6 browsers,
from the top menus select "tool"

Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
In Internet Options dialog box select the Security tab.
Click Custom level button at bottom right. The Security settings dialog box will pop up.
Under Scripting select category check Active Scripting, Allow paste options via script and Scripting of Java applets
Click ok.

If you can not run Java applets,for that you,if not already installed, will have to download
Java VM from hrere
http://java.sun.com/getjava/index.html

As a matter of fact when you go to this page and click on download it will tell you right there if you need to download the JVM or not
