Leaving domain

Hello

I haven't done much coding for about a year and am just now getting back into it. I seem to have lost some important javascript code that I was hoping to adapt and have been looking for three days for it.

What I need is an alert that pops up when a link is clicked that takes the user away from the domain. Not when exiting the page, but only when leaving the domain.

Can anyone help?

Unless you create a hack for it,there is no way javascript can do this.
