If Bush is a good president then bad presidents simply don't exist.

I can't believe there are still those that believe Bush is good.

For God's Sake what does it TAKE for a president to be bad then? The fact that thousands of innocent people have died because of the administrations blatant lies doesn't matter to you does it?
Where is your integrity? You've got none. You're just standing there ready to kiss your authority's ass as long as there's an American flag wrapped around it.
Never mind that Bush was never elected to office in the first place, he was literally selected, yet him and all his supporters brag about his re-election victory, as if he'd deserved it.

There are so many things to say about the Bush administration in terms of what's gone bad that it's literally hard to know where to begin.
Basically what this entire Bush saga has taught us is that if you lie, you'll get rewarded for it, and if you lie more? Get more rewards!

And I'm sorry but Mr Bush had never even traveled abroad when he was selected for the presidency. Rather his first visits abroad were basically by launching his wars. I mean that's idiotic. Nobody would do that except an ignorant lunatic who had no clue whatsoever about how things worked outside the borders of Texas. I know this isn't a political forum, but, when 9/11 ocurred, nobody was thinking about Iraq except for Bush himself. Put that into equation when given the fact that Bush didn't even know what Africa was, he refered to Africa as a "nation". How can a guy who'd never traveled abroad be expected to lead a powerful nation like America and its foreign policies? I mean what type of standards are in place for the president? Even for casual jobs around the corner you're often required to be, at least, bi-lingual. Basically the precidency is about connections forget about any noble standards! Just stop lying by implying otherwise. Especially in this case.

The Iraq war was entirely wrong. It didn't make sense to anybody in the world to attack Iraq. How Bush managed to get approval for this war is beyond me, I mean the congress must either be totally blind or scared of retribution because any sane individual could tell that Powel, Rice, Cheney and Bush were blatantly lying in order to win their case. Al Qaida attacked America not Iraq. And so it would make sense you would think, to pursue Al Qaida and not Iraq, or Jordan, or Russia for that matter. None of the attackers were even FROM Iraq. The worst thing about the irrational attack was probably that it was motivated by revenge. Just sheer senseless revenge, as in "screw them, now they've attacked us we've got an excuse to screw them badly". Only after reality finally catched up with their delusions would thee bush administration begin to switch their case to "Democracy" and "Freeing the Iraqi people", you know before that there were about ten different reasons for going to Iraq and they changed about every week or so. Talk about flip-flopper... Since Bush still has support from the citizens, it must mean that it's OK to attack other countries for any made-up reason as long as you make up "better" reasons later!

You Bushies go ahead and keep supporting your beloved Bush, it just speaks volumes about your own level. This is just too much.

By the way is it possible to apply JavaScript style properties to function arguments before they've been converted to strings or objects? I mean while the arguments are still 'anonymous'.

Thank you.

I have a feeling this thread is going to close.

any way we already have one political thread open, and I don't see a reason why you need to start another. go to I'm Glad I'm Not American (http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55753)

One more piece of advice, Try not to be insulting/abusive other wise the moderators here will press their power buttons. (which is not a good thing)

Ask yourself one question.

"What lengths would I go to to protect the people of my country and try to alleviate the suffering of others"

Ask your self another question:

"Why do I want to discuss politics in The Coffee Lounge in The WebDeveloper Forums?"

There are proper and even excellent venues to let out political opinions and frustrations on the Internet - why choose this venue?

Just my humble 2 cents worth.

But that's the point! Bush is NOT protecting the American people by fighting Iraq. That's a lie. There's a reason why America was attacked and not say Canada, UK, or Brazil. Instead of trying to find out what lies behind that antagonism and do something sane/mature about it Bush instead rushes to launch a war on a nation which had Nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks! If this was about protecting the American people he would've gone after the terrorists, Read: the "Terrorists", who were the perpetrators, and therefore the real enemy! Not Iraq. And, believe me, war and violence does not prevent terrorism, it aggrevates anger! Who do you think those people are who've lost their families and kids, and there are Thousands of thm, what do you think those people feel about Bush's decisions?

You know it's similar to saying you're going to fight crime and knowingly kill innocents along with it. You wouldn't approve of such methods happening here in America, but as long as they happen abroad, far away from your own reality, you don't mind, and that is what I hate. That's very hypocritical. None of those staunch war supporters would ever want to have THEIR families put on the death line, yet so they do to others very easily.

To claim that Iraq was a serious threat to American security is absurd. Especially when considering that there are much worse, and Real threats to America. I wonder if not even 9/11 had people wake up and see that something was wrong then what does it take? This whole thing looks like some type of mass denial going on because anybody who's serious about this would think before causing even more deaths and destruction. Bush wasn't careful at all. His supporters only want to see something happen, whatever it is, as long as it doesn't affect their own daily lives.

Precisely because Bush was so un-cultured, closed-minded and ignorant (no offense but the guy was terribly ignorant), due to his protected life and upbringing, he found it OK to launch two subsequent wars on two poor nations, all the while Al Qaida continued to attack Bali, Madrid etc, I mean this is absurd! Why don't you take note of what's happening around you? Spain was being attacked only AFTER joining Bush in Iraq. Why would anybody believe America to be immune from such attacks in the future if Spain's not? The U.S Launched the very war, Spain was a mere side player still they got hit for it! You can't fight terrorism with bombs it just does not make sense! I mean you've seen it with your own eyes now. THINK.

Also remember that a "sense" of security is not the same as real security. Maybe the Iraq war makes you "feel" safer. Well well.

When you are really mad at your spouse or you kids and frustrated at your impotence you kick the cat or perhaps the dog. It doesn't do any good but it sure does feel good. We Americans aren't stupid, we know that sending troops into Iraq doesn't do any good but it sure does feel good. Meditating upon the second world war, Freud called this impulse, this pleasure in destruction, the "Thanatos". It's there in all of us. All of us are a mixture of the bad and the good, the wheat and the tares. Our problem is that we have decided to stop seeing this and decided to see only the good in ourselves and only the bad in others. Do not so the same, seeing in us only the bad. There is a just God and you don't want done to you what will be done to us.

I don't see a need for this thread. We already have a couple political threads going at the moment. Let's try to keep the amount of political threads down so other non-political threads still have a chance to be recognized. ;)
