It's something I'd like to know, just for curiosity's sake (hey, my totem IS a cat.) I'm not thinking of different versions, just different names.
I know of:
Internet Explorer
MSN Explorer
Opera
Lynx
Firefox
Mozilla
Netscape
Safari
Konquerer
Are there any others you guys know of?

Interesting link there. I think it would be kind of fun to get a computer (or two) just to download browsers onto.
And I feel stupid for forgetting Dismay-ya (Amaya). That was the worst browser I've ever used, PAWS DOWN.

No, Peo. WorldWideWeb was made by Tim Berners-Lee. Amaya is a slow, sucky browser/editor made by a W3C working group. I'm sorry, but I've tried it, and unistalled it promptly. Not nice at all.

This will make a lot of you scream in horror, but I'd rather use Internet E-horror than use Amaya. I disliked it that much. At least IE didn't keep FREEZING on me.

There are tons of browsers out there. Some of them are real standalone browsers and others are merely enhancements of the IE browser (Maxthon, Crazy browser, Avant browser etc.).
Amaya isn't exactly a browser. It can browse, yes... but, there's more to it. Anaya is a combined browser and editor.
Firefox is really cool when I want to check up on the daily browse list.
Opera is great for web dev with it's different modes.
The rest are nice to have, but really just the same old, same old.
PS. I didn't find the Epiphany browser at evolt.org!

He's no where to be found on the contributors list. Other then sanction it, I don't think he's involved at all, to my knowledge at least.

Amaya isn't even a good editor. I'd prefer Notepad.

NotePad has crapy undo and no line count ;)
I use http://www.ornj.net/software/araneae/

I STILL prefer it to Amaya.
Notepad is perfect if your smart enough to use it... Most people can't respect the old-fashioned way of coding. What do you think everyone used before all these notepad programs with all the fancy bells and whistles? ;):p

I'd prefer to hear someone tell me they use Notepad than hear they use some WYSIWYG editor.

My apologies, I thought that's what Dreamweaver was.

Although it does have a wisiwig editor it has many features such as santax highlighting that make it better(in some ways) than notepad/wordpad.

Dreamweaver has syntax hylighting, line numbers, intellitext, and a ton of other things built in that make codeing with it a pleasure.

Another browser I didn't find at evolt.org - ICE Browser (http://www.slettes.dk/redirect_to/?url_name=http://www.icesoft.com/index.html) - a java based browser with three interfaces.
