Is this possible via javascript or whatever...

To place code within a listing (or webpage) that would scroll text from a defined file on another server...

I am looking for a easy way to update not only ebay listings, but business websites on the hours of availablity.

To scroll text either vertical or horizontally in a defined box. The text to be scrolled would be from a text file I could place on my webserver.

So if I am going to be away on travel, I could change text from Available 8am - 8pm M-F to say Away on Travel til 3/1/05. This text would scroll etc....

Well, I don't think eBay permits javascripts within auction descriptions.

Why not insert an URL to a GIF image. The URL stays the same, but you can change the GIF image at your end. You can then switch between a "transparent" GIF showing nothing and a GIF explaining that you're on vacation etc.

I have thought of that, but want to keep it so the page loads quick for dial up.
