Am I the only person who's disgusted by this???
http://www.scriptlance.com/projects/1107288522.shtml
Basically someone's posted a project saying, "I'll pay you if you write a script for me to spam multiple forums at once."
If I met that guy I think I would actually shoot him.

Personaly, I think he needs a punch on the nose just to let him know about peoples feelings towards spam.

I don't think you can go too far when it comes to spammers.

Paying people to help him make money? Aside from the moral, omfg-what-a-moron, and hey-buddy-where-d'ya-live-I-sure-don't-have-a-screwdriver-with-your-name-on-it yuk yuk comments, how does that make any business sense?

"You gotta spend money to make money" is the way the saying goes.

What's scary is that he seems to be getting responses.

I think I would have to kick that person if I ever met him. Spammers need to be dealt with by abuse.

Well, as long as you keep the rule of <insert number here>'s in place, have plenty of salt and vinegar ready, and stretch out the burnings over a good long period of time...

I have to agree with Ben. That sounds like a good idea for scammers too. Maybe I should try that with some of the people I work with..

Perhaps we could find out where he is
go to his house
cut off one of his arms with a chainsaw
pick the arm up, and beat him to death with the soggy end
chop the rest of him up with the chainsaw into smaller peices
put the , now small, pieces through a blender
flush him down the toilet
we could repeat this proccess over and over depending on how many people unfortunate enough to live with him...... oh yeah and his little dog too.......
Ahhhhh I'm hungry, anyone for taco's???

On that train of thought, have you ever seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre? I haven't, but I've heard some rather thorough descriptions of it. Actually, I'm sure finishing this post is breaking some part of the AUP, so I'ma just stop there... let's just say it involves spinal cords, meat hooks, chainsaws, legs, salt, and time...

I think a computer virus designed specially for databases would be good to email it back via their "Unsubscribe" link or whatever they ask for a subject title to unsubscribe.
The virus should go for all records that contain email addresses and delete all records that contain such data.
another good feature is to give them a message "the person/s you have spamed does not want your spam crap anymore. Please shove your spam where the sun don't shine."
that will give them lots of work and a temper to think about.

The Australian government has now outlawed spammers with a $1.1 million dollar fine and a jail sentance. Now for spammers in Australia to spam someone else, they have to get permission from the address holder.
http://www.caube.org.au/australia.htm
the US has a anti spam law as well but has a major hole in it, since the spammers can send spam to a recipient without permission until they ask the spammer to stop spamming them, and that does not stop the spammer from selling the addresses to other spammers to continue the spam process.

$1.1 million? Why the addition .1? Anyways, that'd be great to have here. GMail's spam blocker, for now, makes up for it. :p Still makes me want to move to Australia...

It does not stop people in India or wherever they are to send spam to Australia because our laws only affect spammers in Australia and has no jurisdiction in other countries.
I hear that some other counties are jumping on the bandwagon against spammers.
