How do I take 2-3 pictures and get them to either "roll up" and expose the other one underneath it or another effect; split open like Cassie's pic in upper left hand corner

Thanks!:)

Hi

The effects on the website you have mentioned are done by a script (DHTML). A simple way of doing the effects is to load each picture into a GIF animator (such as Paintshop ), then create a GIF image that is animated. However the resulting file maybe large (it will dpend on how big your originals are). The other option is to write or get a slide show script. I will get you some links to free slide show scripts. I think one site is called DHTML scripts..

Hi

Heres a link that maybe of use:

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/

Pyro has also written an image change script (without transition effects), which can be found on one of the other threads in this section

DCH,

Thank you so much! I tried Dynamic and it did an excellent job with 3 pics rotating, but the link "has to be left in there in order to work" and that's no problem cuz I wouldn't want to use something and not link back to the people who made it, but........."Free DHTML scripts provided by
Dynamic Drive" shows up right under the pic/s and it sticks out too much there.

If I could have it moved down the page some, that would be great.

Is Pyro's a slide show? Something that you need to click on for next pic?

Thank you for your help!

:)

Hi

I think you can remove the link without any major setback. I'll have a look at the script. As long as you leave a copyright notice in the souce code it should be fine. Which script did you use?

Hi DCH,

Yeah, I emailed Dynamic Drive and asked him if i could move his copyright and he said "sure", so I just put it nearer to the bottom of the page.

I used his script for slide shows:

It turned out really well!

Thank you:)
