You've become a victem to the 3px padding bug that IE has. IE will randomly add 3px of space between text and the side of the containing element when it is floated next to another element. How random.

Nope, he edited his post to say that almost a full 30mins before I replied.

The 3px problem hasn't come up often in the forums (that I've seen) so maybe it'd be a good thing if it stayed so that people could find it more easily via the search feature. And now, some keyword spam. :D
