Let's find the most unvalid site
i propose this one : http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.whitehouse.gov%2F with 59 errors from the w3 validator (http://validator.w3.org)

can u find worse?

I've seen much worse. Most of the sites I bother to validate have 700+ errors, infact. *looks for examples*

well...couldnt find any, and im about to go taking a nap, but a Quest has a beginning...this one actually has no ending....but...are you serious for the 700?

Geocities.com
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fgeocities.yahoo.com%2F&charset=utf-8+%28Unicode%2C+worldwide%29&doctype=XHTML+1.1&verbose=1

that would be
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fgeocities.yahoo.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=%28detect+automatically%29

lets keep these rules
-> detect automatically(Doctype, encoding, etc)

Although, they are getting harder to find. Many of the larger websites that had a lot of errors in the past (MSN, Yahoo, etc) are now valid, or atleast cleaner.

These very forums have 207 (http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A//webdeveloper.com/forum/)

yeah, i was totally surprised to see that MS's page only had 3 errors

do not put in an xhtml doctype manually, let the thing detect it automatically or do it's own override.

Here is a good one, htmlgoodies
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.htmlgoodies.com&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=%28detect+automatically%29&verbose=1

here is a suprise
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.angelfire.com&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=%28detect+automatically%29&verbose=1

You guys are tempting me to make a page
that uses 1000+ <SCRIPT> tags and 1000+ errors :D

Just loop out a bunch of bad code w/ your scripting lang of choice. That takes the fun out of the little contest thought.
