How do you find bittorrent files?

i have downloaded 1 file in shareaza bittorent thingy but where can i find an album i might be after? is there a site that lists heaps of bittorrent files or are they scattered throughout the net?

Bittorrent it self is not illgeal but most the stuff that getz trafnser with it is ;)
