a question about FTP :o)

Hey Guys :O))

i dont know if i am allowed to ask this here ,but im at my wits end...lol I bought a domain....and am using ws_ftp as the transfer program....i think i did everything right,but cant seem to get it to my web site...

it askes for a server...is that my web host (godaddy)..or my domain (florida bob.net)..thx for any help....

ok ...i got my 1st page to upload via 'ftp"....now i cant figure out how to upload the other pages ,so the links i made from the first page, will work...i must be missing something...ive been racking my brain all day...

if ya'll see this ..please go to www.floridabob.net you will see a basic text..with the link "bobsworld"...but when you clik on it...page cant be found...

i uploaded the second page to the ftp ..how can i make the link work?..thx for any help

moved to the general forum. This is not really a .net specific question so you will get more help in this forum.


first: the internet is case sensative, make sure your format is not .HTM or Htm or something like that. I like to keep everything lowercased myself.

second: the paths could be different on the server, I do not know how the server's directories and vds are setup, but you might need to do a ../file or ./file or something like that so you are in the proper dir.

Just play around with those.
