Hi everybody,
I'm working on a site and its built on a Mac. It looks great in Mac FF, Safari and even looks mostly right on Mac IE.
This site isn't done, in fact I just started on it. But, I'm letting the client see what I've got and I'm not really sure what he's going to see on his PC with IE.
So, if there are any glaringly wrong things please let me know. (like the menu being on top of text, etc. :))

Thanks,

Looks fine so far.
In IE the text is very very small. Why? You have a scroll bar so you could make it larger then people wouldn't have to strain there eyes.
The only other thing is the yellow on the bottom. Where did that come from? Doesn't fit at all to me. I'ld use a blue tone inbetween the two blues that are already there.
Nice tree.

Yup trees are always good. I think you ought to space out that writing a bit.

Thanks for the feedback guys,
I had the body text at .8 em. But I've changed it to 1 em. Let me know if that's a little easier on the eyes.

I was trying to have the footer color continue the colors of the beachsand in the painting. Do you really think its that out of place? ;)
Nice tree.
The tree is one of Will's paintings. You can always make a good site when you've got good imagery to work with! There will be much more of that as the site progresses. :)
Anyway, thanks again.

Very good coding!
A!
As for the colors and design...umm.. the tree is good. All that bland blue in the background??? Diverts your attention somewhat!

Thanks Gumby,
ever since joining this forum (and a couple of others) I've felt that my coding had taken big step forward. Its nice to hear that someone else thinks so.
I showed it to the client and I think that there are going to be some pretty significant changes to it before the rest of the site lays out.
So. . .stay tuned, I'll post again when there's something else to see.
Thanks again to all of you for your feedback, I knew I could count on you to call it like you see it!

Any hint as to what you are changing? And when you do...PM me. I want to see the thread and the site!

well, this page was really just a rough draft to give him an idea of what I was thinking.
He e-mailed me a list of things that he would like to see different and even hinted that, although he loved what I had, he'd like to see another example (this is a long story-if interested PM me and i'll disclose :) ) of a very different design.
I'll post in here when that update is up. Or I could start a new thread I guess. . . In either case it will be a couple of days, possibly even as long as the weekend.

If you are making design ideas, you might want to present him with a second idea. It's always best to do that. And then, which ever one he doesn't use, you can use for a later date.

Yes, that is what I'll be doing..... presenting him with another idea. . .

Lovin' the use of the Carolinian graphics. (Charleston, South Carolina is one of my FAVORITE places in the U.S.!)
Hmmmm.... not liking the IFRAME. It sort of breaks of the graphic design. Also, the black text on blue background is a little hard on the eye. Is this particular format for your content necessary?
Nice clean coding!
How about changing the navigation to bold & lower-case? Seems like it would go with the rest of your design better.
Good Luck -

Look great but
When the tree loads it interferes (interfere is not the best word, I know, I couldn't come up with a better) with the menu. IMHO get the menu a bit to right.
And dialup took around 15 seconds to load the tree. If reducing the size doesn't effect its fantastic look, do it.
