How To Block Referred Visitors

does anyone know how to put something into your index page, that will block referral sites? Say.. if someone clicked on a link to my site from http://asdfsite.com, they wouldn't be able to access it?

Why would you want to? There are scripts that allow only certain ip's to gain enternace to your site and there are scripts that cna check referrers so I am sure there is a way but why would you want to do that?

Someone has created a website, posting hateful and degrading information about myself and my family, and has my website address, home address, and home phone number posted there. I do not want "friends" of his going to my website and harassing me there.

Just get the police on him. aint it illegal to post personal info for other people without their permision?
