Yep, she's a keeper.

The probable reason about Germany is that it is not crafted, assembled, or main-stream distributed there. It's harder and more expensive to sell a product in a region that has nothing to do with the production of that product. Different areas have integrated themselves into different industries. At least that's my take on it.

Hmm... maybe it's a typo, or maybe they're racist or something or don't trade as well with Germany. Either way, if you really want it, cant you buy it and have it shipped to someone you know in the US and then have them mail it ot you First Class?

I have been reading lately that it could be the money value. Germany needs to keep importing its oil which brings down their ecconermy, because they do not have oil reserves they have to import, and because oil and petrol is so expensive, well that says it all.

I do not want to hijack another thread and do not want to start another politcal debate here, so sorry if I did.

You two could make a deal Fantatier pays Fang the money Fang buys it and mails it to Fantatier.

If anything goes wrong like they do with ebay please do not blame me as I was only suggesting.

Was not quite sure of his geological location, but 100 miles is about a 4 hour drive isn't it (which is expensive in petrol money)? and would he have to wait for a passport if he does not have one?

less than 2 hours and no passport required in the European Community

None of the site mention the standard keyboard type, but I saw on toshiba.nl the price list mentioning external and internal(??) keyboards for less than €50

I know that if you have rearranged the keys on a Qwerty Keyboard so that it's a Dvorak, You can tell Windows its a Dvorak and Windows will readjust. However I do not know if it would work with international keyboards with symbols like what you are after.

which part?

To take the keys out, you need a small leaver to pry them loose.

I am using Windows Xp, so to tell it which keyboard you want it configure as:

To change without re-installing:
Regional and Language Options->"Languages" tab->"Details" button->"Add" button->"Keyboard Layout/IME" tickbox->
You then choose the keyboard "United States-Dvorak" to change it to a dvorak keyboard. (a German keyboard is also chooseable)
click Ok and there should be two entries under "keyboard" now but the one you just entered is not bold, this is because it is not the default, you need to click on the one you had before (which should be bold) and click on remove. restart your system, and you have your wish.

I just tested this and it works. Before it was just a rumour that one of my teachers told me, Now we know it works.

I think you can do it when you re-install windows XP, and it asks you what language you use and what keyboard you are using. But the problem doing it like this is that before you get to the screen where you change it, you need to press keys like "Y" for yes, "Q" for quit, "N" for No, so it can be confusing because the computer does not know you are using a Dvorak instead of Qwerty.

if you are using Win 95/98, You do it somewhere in the language options but its been a while since I last used Win 98 so I can only make a vague guess.

something that might turn you off doing this is that you go to work and they have all qwerty keyboards and you come home and you have a Dvorak, you would get used to the one at home (or whichever you use most), If your boss says yes to changing the keyboards then you should not have a problem with that. But you would still have a problem going from the different keyboards when you go to public places etc.
