hi guys i'm hopping i can find some answers to this since u area all experts here

i recently went to a website where it used a normal explorer user promt to prompt for a password

nothing wrong with that right? the only thing is that the code for the prompt was not on the source at all! the prompt popped up after the whole page loaded. i downloaded the whole source to my computer to be sure but i still can't find it

is there any way or technique to do this?? if so, the big question, how do i find the code for the prompt so i'll know what do enter as the password!

Web based technologies are open source, there is no way that some can hide the Scripts, ofcourse, once can try to hide it.

Provide the link to that site,so that some one can take a look and write an answer to your question.

First thing that comes to mind is that they might have used javascript source file. ( .js )

Cheers
