I've been hitting this for about 3 days, so I need someone else's opinion.

We have recently reloaded our intranet server. We moved form Windows Advanced Server 2000 back to just Windows Server 2000. Since the move, our SMTP service has not been able to send any e-mails.

1. I've assigned it to our server's IP Address

2. Tried port 25 and 26

3. Given the IUSR and IWAM accounts permissions to the virtual SMTP server.

However, I still get an error in the logs that says:

"Message delivery to the remote domain 'mydomain.com' failed. The error message is 'An SMTP protocol error occurred'. The SMTP verb which caused the error is 'RCPT'. The response from the remote serer is '550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for webmaster@mydomain.com'.

Has anyone seen this problem? Possibly would you be able to help me fix it? It started on Friday last week, and each time I tried sending email it would throw this into the event log. As of today, it isn't making these warnings, but it still isn't sending. I'm hoping that if I can figure out what is going on with the above, it will lead me to an answer.
