I cannot stand how the threads in each forum are halved in size due
to the lengthy ads on the top-right corner.
Because the ads are one inch too long vertically, they cause all of the threads in each
forum to be "pushed" to the left align of the page with a hugh white
background on the right align of the page.
Can you add an extra <BR> or two after the ads so we can view the
threads at full size rather than half?

You're referring to the side ads? They don't exist at the thread level, just the forumhome and forumdisplay levels.

Yeah, that's what I mean, the forum homes.
Do you see what I mean by the ads being too long vertically?

That's the way it was intended to be. That ad has to be to the side of the main table, because it's not a constant height. It's expands, and when it does, it would push the main table clear off the screen.

I agree it took some getting used to and I can live with it, but better, no way. It's just awkward looking. :(

Put those big ads at the top, and you have to scroll to get to your User Control Panel. That was a pane. Now at least I can get there without scrolling the home page, which is an improvement for me at least.

I don't like the change that has been made now either (in regards to the ads). I like the new look otherwise.
I know it's not my place to say this, but could you please nogotiate with the advertiser to have the ad more width instead of height if that is the dimentions they want? In that way it won't look out of place when the ad changes.

I totally agree.

now we have a huge white space on the lower side of the site...
I liked the origional add at the top and a full screen bellow it of forums to search through...
Maybe you remake the table in css so that it can move back to cover the full screen below the ad, it can't be to tricky (or is it a matter of not risking it for updates you have little controll over?)...

To be honest, I don't like the way it used to be, nor the new way. This style of ad is in the way. Perhaps get a different style.

Seriously, you should give the ad's their own "block" so they don't interfere with the
main-table's block. I'd say a good place to put the ad's would be inbetween the User-Contol Panel block and the main-table block.
It's so hard to read the title of any thread in the main-table now, how it is.
The title of each thread gets crushed and hence wrapped to the next line.

I am currently experimenting with firefox, I have installed "Remove it permanatly" extention and have tested it out on this site, and you know what? I just right click and go "RIP permanatly" the ads disappear and when I reload it still loads and then disappears again and I get my whole screen back again.
Sorry admin, but if you can't make the site user friendly for us and not for the advertiser, we'll just adjust our browsers to not show them at all.
