Splitting it up?

I want to call up the clock, and then split it up into 6 digits so 24:24:24 would become 2,4,2,4,2,4 does anyone know how to do this?

split(""), I think would work

how would you assign these six digits to 6 ints?

loadofintegers =whateveritiscalled.split("");

This will save each part of the string as
loadofintegers[1]
loadofintegers[2] etc.
