Hey guys, I just spent a good week updating my portfolio site for search engine optimization, site load performance optimzation, and screen reader optimization to make it a better for the screen reader users. I also added a blog (feel free to participate if you wish), and I added a chat feature last night (linked form the blog).
Tell me what you think.

Hi
Can see you have worked hard on your site. Looks very good to me and I should think will impress anyone visiting. Plenty of content and interest. Can't really find fault with it as it seems to satisfy the kind of people you want to visit - or at least I should think it will. Not your average 'website cruiser' but visitors who are a bit more knowledgeable about webdesigning than some. Perhaps you could have 'blended' in the scroll bars for explorer users but sometimes that hardly seems necessary as the rest will see the bars as they are now obviously.
I can see though that the site is reloading off the top links and others for you to show the content in the box in the middle. You could perhaps stop that from happening so that they load just like they do from the 'On this page' box. The site reloading is causing a break of eye contact but not much and can be quite easily overcome. Shoud think the site will appear more 'concrete' if you stop that from occuring. I can't see that there is a need for the site to reload from those links though maybe there is.
Nice site for sure.

the sites great, but personaly I think your trying to fit too much into a small space.
I opened up your main page and was faced with no less than 5 scroll bars.
1 was understandable, that is the larger one on the right, that's automatic, but the bottom one is not nessesary, you only have to shrink the page by a few px.
for the main content it was understandable, you have a lot to say you need space to say it.
for the large text and thanking bit you shouldn't have one, it would only add a fraction more to the pages length.
for style choices use a dropdown.

MKJ, Can't do the scroll bar thing as it would invalidate the CSS, but I agree it'd look cool in MSIE to do that. Now, sorry to sound dumb, but I don't know what you're talking about by "reloading off the top links." Could you explain please. My server was slow yesterday, could that be what you were seeing?
Ian, thanks man. Long time no talk to. :)
Scragar, were you getting a horizontal scroll bar on your 800x600 monitor? Man, that stinks... I tested iot in a number of monitors with that res, but none of them had it so I thought I was all set. But, oh, well, not much I can do about it now. I have the width at 780px, buy even thinking about the work involved to change that makes me groan.
Thanks guys.
Mike
