The only things I can say are.

1) The site looks good, simple yet powerfull...
2) The blue and orange seems to contrast too much on my LCD monitor.
3) The source code is hard to read, looks like it was done with a generator, but
I could be wrong.

Just my opinion, great job for a first site!

Good luck with future work!

You have some serious coding issues. Too many sets of <head> <body> and two DOCTYPE declarations. And thing are out of the proper order. Below that the code looks better. I do think the second design looks better.
