Looking for suggestions to refine the design at http://evernet.co.uk/designs/Student%20Council%20v4/. The code will be valid when it goes live - I'm not sure if it is at the moment - so don't panic on that account.

I see no comment form. One would expect hover effects to make the hovered text more prominent. Fade on hover, just doesn't feel right. The schools crest looks soo tiny. Geneva? Aren't you getting a little ahead of yourself? Where it says "hearing everybody's voice" it looks like a hole in the design, if that makes sense. The word "wow" did not at any point enter my mind. Nevermore 04-07-2005, 04:03 AM Thanks - I'm having problems with this design, maybe you guys can help. What do you think I should go for, when I have no photography of the actual school and the council has no colour scheme? Normally I would work from either a photo or a colour scheme, but without either, I'm having trouble. LJK 04-10-2005, 08:14 PM Hi - It's your world, man - do with it what you want! But seriously, it does seem a bit wishy-washy, overall, like you really aren't sure of what elements to highlight. Nothing matches the photo, either - which dominates the layout. If that's an image you want to use, trim it up and use colors from it for borders and/or seperate info. area backgrounds or something. Or, go with the monochroma thing but generate or snag some graphics you like to generate a new logo and decorative elements. Good luck, El Nevermore 04-11-2005, 05:58 AM I've abandoned this design and moved onto v5 - http://evernet.co.uk/designs/scv5/ -thanks for your comment anyway though. webdeveloper.com
