Layout What Do U Think?

Ok I have uploaded the layout plan for my homesite can u look at it and tell me what u think http://www25.brinkster.com/nshiell/Temp/thing.htm
the links at the top allong the green bar will be drop down menu links for easy navigation.

hard to say exactly what is wrong with it but it seems like nothing is lined up. about me link, title and text should all align. The sidebar and header don't seem like you where trying a few different things, that is on sidebar you have a fade from top to bottom but on bottom it is left to right. Header fades left to right.

maybe think about using some solid colors in your layout. Everything is fading. not only is it a bit much it will also make your graphics bigger than they need to be.

Other than that it is just little alignment and spacing issues that need work (links all having same spacing between them for example)
