Can I use an image for a pop out menu?

I have an image (80p x 27p) that I wish to have a menu pop out to the right on either a mouse over or mouse click. This would need to have anywhere from 1 link to multiple in the menu that pops out. I have a company that wishes to use part of their logo for menu buttons.

I have not been able to find anywhere that shows how to do this or a script! Any help is greatly appreciated!

What type of menu is it - if is just html, I personally would use hidden layers to do this. You can set the layers to be hidden or visible dependent on mouse interaction.
