What do you think about print font size?
A lot of sites, particularly (it seems to me ) among web developers and 'creative' types have almost microscopic print that is really testing on the eyes.
Is this cool / trendy / fashionable/
Call me old-fashioned but I like my potential customers to be able to actually READ my copy!
Any comments?
Thanks

What Screen resolution do you use?
Anything bigger than 1024*768 and the text will look small
Otherwise I havnt seen what your talking about, give us a link example.
Cheers
Chopper :)

Maybe microscopic is a bit of an exageration - but here is a link I got purely at random by going over to Google - I think some people would have difficulty reading this - I use 1024x768

I mean no offence to you.
At my work I'm using 1600*1200 on a 19" monitor thus meaning text will be smaller. Lynda's page did appear small but I'm still able to read the website. Strangly enough, I droped my resolution down to 1024*768 and it became all pixalated like a zoomed in picture and slightly difficult to read.
Could be the browser
Im using IE6
Maybe you need to eat more carrots :D
Personally, I have never had a problem viewing websites and I dont wear glasses.
All the best for a perfect world,

The text is rather small on that site.
It’s set at font-size: 9px from looking at the Style Sheet.
That is small and it looks like it's more a matter of bad design, by trying to cram as much as possible on the page as possible.
I had this discussion tonight in one of my web design classes I teach and my student wanted to use a 14px font on her site. I was rather shocked because that’s more of a heading size vs. a regular font size.
As a general rule I try to use a 12px font size and 8 or 9px only in cases of fine print.
Also what I notice about that site is that they have a fixed design. Where a larger font could easily fill that page allowing it to be flexible...
So to answer you question maverick, I think it's been designed by someone who has just discovered CSS and has eyes like a hawk.
