Hey guys, I made a new site for my hosting company (http://gbhxonline.com). I made it really accessible -- checkpoint two site for sure. It's written to XHTML Strict, uses sematic mark-up, all that jazz. This site uses a more solid CSS than my portfolio, I hope so anyway. Please tell me what you think. Have some fun with it with the Firefox Web Dev tools: disable images, disable colors, removes styles, etc. It degrades nicely which is one advantage to making a site this way.
Thanks,
Mike

I think you need to do better with the content of your copy writing. I don't know what your product is or what it costs within twenty seconds of viewing.
I know that you say webhosting in your header, but the eye just doesn't want to go or stay there. It drifts to the right frame. And I don't get it. I guess it's those first sections, S page and the onpage menu, that really don't do much to help sell your site. Something as simple as a picture of a car with a price tag is what I'd shoot for. Save the rest of the writing for other pages.
Yeah, the site is pretty tight except for the written copy.

I agree with both of you in that 1) I don't care for the extensive menu use and 2) I really dig the para, sect, usage, but all that stuff falls under accessibility features so if I took them out to help the site in one regard, I'd be lessening it in another. The choices can be difficult at times. Same with colored scroll bars, to give you another example. I really like them, but their use invalidate the CSS, so I opt to to employ them.
Thanks for the feedback.

I added a fun(?) thing for the heck of it. It a story writer. Fill in the fields and publish the thing and you get a custom story. It's kind of a silly thing, but it's helping me get a handle on some PHP.
Here is the story writer (http://www.gbhxonline.com/writestory.php) (further instructions are on the home page (http://gbhxonline.com/#writestory). Please let me know what you think.

Wow, that really is pointless, but not without it's charm. Maybe you ought to show it as a "sample PHP application" and possibly use that spot for other pointless bits and pieces.
