We started this site in January and it works alongside a printed pocket guide. Over the summer we'll be expanding to a few more cities, and hopefully continue that trend into the future, so we want to get all the bugs out of this site before that. I know the site needs work and am currently working on a re-design, so any added feedback would be helpful. When I have a new design ready, I'll post the test server link, but for now the live site is here: http://www.clubandpub.ca.

Well, no, but that's content-related, don't mind whether or not I'd use it.

It's a great design, vibrant, and usable... but the tables usage is iffy. To give the basic layout, okay- it'd be a nightmare to do that in CSS- but it goes much too far. If you used one single master table to get the grid layout, that'd be fine, because then you could use CSS for everything else (with maybe a container or two so you wouldn't have to use inline design imagery) but there's still a lot of muck in there. Also, perhaps one of the many forms of CSS image replacement for the navigation, and then changing the background position on :hover? I think that'd be best. I haven't looked at the code for semantic value yet, mainly because it isn't too pleasant to look at.

Your site must be good if you get a response from Ben that's "great & vibrant" when he describes himself with apathetic enthusiasm.

How come the Canadian doesn't get just hammered for his table use? I mean sure it's a cool site and all.

Map of downtown took a long time to load. I'd puzzle cut it up in to pieces of varying resolution so that it loads faster. People check these sites out at home after they get home from work and before they head out.

Why does a person of your design skill not have a fill in form for your contact page. Only A mailto, come on!

How are you going to regulate the shout box. I'm sure you're going to get a lot of drunk typing on this site. I've thought about having one too, but the regulation seems like a nightmare. Do you have a script that deletes messages with chosen bad words or something? I'd add a link there that browsers can use to notify the web administrator of any bad postings.

Doh! Isn't P.C.P a controlled narcotic? Whoops. That would sure put ideas in the mind of a U.S. jury if the contents of a drunk driver's wallet was admitted into evidence of her locations the night of the alleged crime. Better make sure that the pass is usable at more than mostly just watering holes. The Ramada is good.

I bet that you're going to get more demand for online advertising. I don't know where you'll fit it all (other than the not very appealing) bottom of the page on your homepage.

Okay, now review mine: http://www.pmhauer.com

Hi -
Liked the graphic elements and bright color scheme very much. Fairly easy to find what you're looking for, as well.

Found the 3-column layout on the index pg. a bit too hemmed-in. [Like a brochure when as a first-time user, I wanted less 'filler' and more focus on the main site sections.]

In regards to your main question: sure, if I came from out of town and wanted to shoot some pool, or was a goofy local wanting a chat room.
