Hi, I am Vishal, me and my friend created this site called OptamumPC @ www.optamumpc.com. Please make a visit and tell me how i can make the home page more affective.
Thanks alot for your help!
Hi -
You've recommended Notepad for beginners to code with, but have used the worst editor [MS Word], yourselves! Please try it without and see what you get...
Very disjointed, too many styles and no clear sense of a layout. Some of the graphics are much too large and the text isn't aligned properly in many places.
Optimal is the root = Optimum. Or was that domain already taken? ;-)
Keep going & have fun,
El

Less broken images would be nice, and avoid having ads right in the middle of the page.

You can link the css code with <link> tag in a external file, making smaller the index file. You need padding between border dashed and solid.
Hi -
Sure it's a rough time of year for me, but was I hallucinating or did things change?! Had seen some proprietary MS coding in there during my first view...which isn't there now. It looks pretty good. ;-)
But the text issue I referred to still stands. To be clearer, you could use some padding to separate columns of text and images from text. What made things seem misaligned was the lack of padding and the graphics used as headers on the subpages. These are pretty big, have a lot of gap above them and don't fit with the style used on the main page.
Good luck,
El
