Who are the professionals who develop websites?

Hi everyone,

I am a visiting scholar at Duke University. I am enrolled in a PhD at the Ecole Polytechnique in France and my interest is in the professionalization of occupations linked with Information Technology.

I would like to compare the French and the American professionals who
develop/manage web sites. I was wondering whether you would have
suggestions regarding the project. I will be at San Francisco from the
28th of April to the 8th of May and I am especially interested in
interviewing some professionals (interview will be around 30 minutes).

Do you have any such contacts, or know of who does (a single contact could
be great)? Or any general suggestions for me on this project? Do you think
that I could meet you? :)

Of course, all data remain anonymous and I will be please to give you the
results of my research.

Do you think that there are differences
on the level of mental logic/process, or is this
project comparing the cultural development processes.
(ie, techniques used relating to the enviroment's influence.)

It sounds interesting, I'd love to help, but I live in
a cold isolated place, where only old/ignorant white men care
to live. Otherwise, I'd consider it a pleasure to participate.

I appreciate your reply. Actually, professionals in the USA seem to be very busy and it is really hard for me to find contacts...

Where do you live? and what do you do?

You could find in the attached file a questionnaire, which won't take more than 15 minutes to fill in.

Do you have a version in english?

Because the questions say things like:
Quelle est la taille de votre entreprise?

Is this a salary related question?

Anyway, if you have a survey in English, just let me know.

As for where I live, Montana, USA, the fourth largest state with less then
1 million people.

Ok, here it is.

Wow, that was simple,
I just edited it with Open Office.org,
so there might be some compatability issues (it
displayed kinda funny)...

Oh, and my spelling is horrible, even with
spell-check...
